-identifying target audiences
-creating, promoting, and delivering educational programs for a variety of audiences
-tracking visitor stats for reporting purposes
-supervising staff and volunteers as needed
-liaising with other groups and organizations within the heritage community
-developing and managing a budget
-answering public inquiries
-performing daily opening/closing duties as required
-Degree in education or degree/diploma in museum studies or an acceptable combination of education and experience
-Knowledge of Ontario curriculum standards
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent interpersonal skills
-Museum and visitor services experience an asset
-Bilingualism an asset
-Must have access to a vehicle, no public transportation available
Permanent Part time: 3 days/week, some evenings and weekends required
Compensation: $35,000 pro-rated to 3 days per week, employee benefits included, professional development budget.
This position requires completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector check.
