Community Outreach

The Osgoode Township Museum offers many interesting programs and services to groups and community members of all ages.   

We encourage you to join us for any of our events and programs!


The Remember When programs are designed for a Senior Citizen audience, and cover such topics as Early School Days, Toys & Games of the Pioneers, Life on the Farm, The Pioneer Kitchen, etc.    A museum representative will travel to your retirement residence, seniors’ home, or community centre to facilitate a program for your group, which will include a multi-media presentation on a topic relating to themes of days gone by, a group discussion, and a “show and tell” of a selection of museum artifacts relating to the theme of the program.  These programs are approximately 45 minutes in length, are based on a variety of interesting topics, and are FREE OF CHARGE!  Please Call the Museum at 613-821-4062 for more details, or to schedule a program for your group. 


Once a month, the Osgoode Township Museum hosts a KIDS CRAFT DAY held on Saturday afternoon from 1pm until 3pm.  Children ages 6 to 12 are welcome to participate, and children ages 5 and under are welcome if accompanied by an adult.  The cost is $5 per child, and includes all craft materials as well as an afternoon snack.  Past craft projects have included the following: hand-made Piggy-Banks, Dream Catchers, Bean-Bag Frogs, and Paper Mosaics.  Please visit our Events page to see what the next Kids Craft Day has in store!


The Osgoode Township Museum now offers a variety of creative Adult Workshops.  Adult Workshops take place once a month at the museum, from 1pm until 4pm, and cost $25 per person.  Past workshops include Willow Basket-Making, Ukrainian Egg-Painting, Christmas Lanterns, and Candle-Making, to name only a few.  Please visit our Events page to see what Adult Workshop is coming up next!


The Osgoode Township Museum now offers PD-Day Programming for Children registered with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board as well as the Ottawa Catholic School Board.  PD Day Programs run from 9am until 5pm however children can be dropped off as early as 8:30am, and picked up as late as 5:30pm.   PD-Day Programs are based on exciting themes that are sure to capture the imagination of your children!   Previous PD-Day Themes include Magic School, Arctic Adventures, and Myths & Legends.  Children must bring their own lunch, however morning and afternoon snacks are provided.  The cost for PD-Day Programs is $25 Per child.  Please visit our  Events page to find out what we have planned for the next PD DAY!!!
